The United States Snowboarding and Freeski Association hosts a day-long event featuring U18 athletes in slopestyle and rail jam competitions!
January 21st & February 4th, 2024
The Winter Wine Dinners at Peaks Chophouse & Wine Lounge, a wintertime version of the Savor Big Sky festival, features guest chefs and winemakers working together. This event in Big Sky, Montana, celebrates the fusion of food, wine, and spirits amidst a breathtaking setting. Attendees will have the opportunity to broaden their culinary horizons with creations by acclaimed chefs and selections from top wineries, breweries, and distilleries, all paired with the finest local produce.

The annual summit of the National Brotherhood of Snowsports will occur in Big Sky, Montana, featuring a week filled with skiing, snowboarding, networking, and honoring the African-American community in snowsports. Founded in 1973, this organization is focused on enhancing diversity in winter sports and has consistently worked to create opportunities for African Americans in these activities. The NBS Summit is the highlight of their initiatives, providing a special opportunity for skiers of various skill levels to unite and celebrate their love for snowsports.

Join Big Sky Resort for a special celebration of International Women's Day, featuring a group ski and happy hour hosted by the women of the resort! Come along with your skis or snowboard on Wednesday, March 8th, and be part of an empowering and enjoyable day organized by Girl Get After It and Big Sky Resort. The day includes an afternoon of skiing and a delightful happy hour at The Umbrella Bar. This complimentary event welcomes all women and non-binary individuals who ski or ride. Please note, the group ski is not a lesson or clinic, and we recommend an intermediate to advanced ski level. Remember, lift tickets are necessary for participation in the on-snow activities.

The Shedhorn Ski Mountaineering Race makes its exciting return in 2024 at Big Sky. This event challenges participants to ascend steep slopes and navigate through narrow chutes of Lone Mountain, testing both endurance and skill. Set to take place this March, the race is renowned as one of the most demanding SkiMo courses in the nation. Participants will face grueling uphill climbs and daring descents, including the infamous Big Couloir. This race is a true test for the brave-hearted.
