  • We highly recommend purchasing your lift tickets in advance!
  • Lift tickets become available for purchase in mid-November.
  • Before purchasing your lift tickets, ensure you have all other travel plans in place. You will want to secure flights, lodging, and your transportation.

  • You will want to secure a day pass or season pass to Lone Mountain Ranch to access the Big Sky Nordic Trail System, including the Big Sky Golf Course.
  • Rentals available at Lone Mountain Ranch.
  • 85 kilmometers of carefully maintained woodland trails over phenomenal mountain terrain.

  • What tickets are available?

    There are numerous season passes and ticket options that get you access to the mountain. You can purchase various Big Sky Season Passes ranging from a Gold unlimited pass to a Flex 3 + pass, different Ikon Passes, and the Mountain Collective Pass. If you are only looking to ski for a few days and want to purchase daily ski/snowboard tickets you can buy them online here or you can purchase them at one of the three Mountain Village Base Area offices.

  • How much do Big Sky lift ticket cost?

    Big sky has variable pricing based on the day of the week, time of year, and holidays, except unless you are 6 or under then its always $1, but you can expect to pay the following based on age:

    • Junior 7-14 years old ranges from $65 to $147.
    • Adult 15-69 years old ranges from $98 to $222.
    • Senior 70+ years old ranges from $81 to $184.

  • What comes with a Big Sky lift ticket?

    With the purchase of a Big Sky Daily Lift Ticket, you get access to unlimited skiing & snowboarding of up to 5,850 acres of skiable terrain based on the amount of snow and current conditions. Lone Peak Tram is not a part of the Daily Lift Ticket. If you want access to the Lone Peak Tram, you must purchase an additional ticket by adding an Auto Credit Card Charge, so when you pass through the Lone Peak RFID gate, it charges you for the day.

  • What are the Big Sky Lift Hours?

    Currently, the season is slated to run from November 24th, 2022 through April 23rd, 2023. With lifts turning daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some lifts do close earlier, and its recommend to check out Big Sky's Lift Status for more detailed times and current lifts operating.

  • Where can I pick up my Lift Ticket or Passes?

    All Big Sky Lift Tickets must be loaded onto a reusable RFID Sky Card. If you already have one then you are good to head straight to the lifts as it will be added to your RFID card. If you don't already have one make sure to purchase one during the checkout process and then you can proceed to Big Sky's Sky Card Express Boxes located on the resort or picked up at the following locations:

    • Mountain Village Base Area
    • Bascamp Office - Located in the main plaza & open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    • Mountain Services Office – Located on the main level in the Snowcrest building & open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Lift Ticket windows – Located outside of the main level of the Snowcrest building & open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    • Madison Village
    • Madison Village Mountain Sports and Services – Located in the Madison Village base area & open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
