April 1st – Big Air Event
A FREE one-day festival the Big Air & Apress is free and presented by Sam Adams. Come watch the stunt show on snow where professional athletes perform amazing big air jumps and aerial acrobatics all culminating with fireworks and a chance to win the 2023 limited edition Sam Adams x Lago Snowboards collab board!
April 1st – Live Music at Tips Up
Head on over to Big Skys Town Center to the Tips Up establishment to enjoy some fantastic live music from the band Lost Ox a genre-blending jammers while you grab a cocktail or beer. Starts at 10:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m.
April 6th through April 9th – Big Sky Chapel Easter Holy Week
Join the Big Sky Chapel as the Celebrate Easter with numerous events and activities starting on the 6th at 5 p.m. with Thursday of the Lord’s Supper Mass – St. Joseph Catholic Mission and at 7 p.m. for Holy Eucharist with Foot-washing Rite- All Saints in Big Sky.
April 8th – SheJumps Junior Ski Patrol Clinic
SheJumps Wild Skills Junior Ski Patrol is a one-day camp where girls learn mountain safety and first aid while working with the women of the ski patrol community and SheJumps volunteers. Participants are taught a range of outdoor skills that are utilized by ski patrollers to keep the mountain safe through first aid, avalanche control, snow science, weather stations, toboggans, avalanche rescue techniques, radio communication, avalanche dogs, and much more. Intermediate to advanced ability is required and is for female and non-binary identifying skiers and riders ages 8-17 years old.
April 21st – West Entrance into Yellowstone Opens
Visitors can expect an incredible outdoor experience at Yellowstone National Park with the re-opening of the West Entrance – making it a great place for families and nature enthusiasts alike! Yellowstone National Park is set to open its West Entrance on April 21, 2023. With the opening of this key entrance, visitors will have access to roads leading from Madison Junction to Mammoth Hot Springs, Old Faithful and Norris to Canyon. However, not all roads will be open upon the seasonal re-opening. Other roads and entrances such as the East Entrance to Lake Village (Sylvan Pass), Canyon to Lake Villageand and the South Entrance to West Thumb, West Thumb to Old Faithful (Craig Pass), West Thumb to Lake Village, Tower-Roosevelt to Tower Fall, Canyon to Tower Fall (Dunraven Pass), as well as Beartooth Highway (US-212), Chief Joseph Scenic Byway (WY-296) are not slated to open until later dates.
April 23rd – Winter Closing Day
