In addition, easily access a multitude of local hiking and mountain biking trails. The world-famous Gallatin River is just a 7-mile drive from the home. Ski In/Out Information- Access is weather permitting. The groomed residential trail is maintained by Big Sky Resort. Additionally, please note Big Sky Resort has 6000+ acres of skiable terrain. Using the ski in/out access trails from this home can take you 25-35 minutes to get to and from the main base area. You will need to walk up the driveway and cross the main road to access the groomed trail. We recommend this ski access for a more experienced skier. Young children and beginners may struggle.
Ski Out- Walk up the driveway and cross the street (Lone Mountain Trail). Once across the street, you will be on Swift Bear Road. Catch the groomed, residential ski trail leading you to the White Otter Lift. From White Otter you will partially ski down the Lower Morning Star run to make your way to the main base area.
Ski In- Find your way to the Cascade Lift (residential access lift) plan to do some side stepping or skate skiing for a short distance up-hill when getting onto the Cascade lift. Once off the lift you will need to walk up a set of stairs to get back onto the groomed trail. You will make your way down trail (B) to get back to the house. This trail is best for skiers, snowboarders will need to keep up their speed. Once back to Swift Bear Road, you'll need to cross the road and walk back down the homes driveway.
